Dreams to Reality

4 Steps To Make Our Dreams Come True

I am a visual learner. To remember my dreams, I would print quotes and photos and post them on walls. Whenever I see my vision board, it makes my heart leap for joy!

I love dreaming about my future. I believe there is power in our dreams.

Do you feel the same?

I know it’s pretty weird, but beautiful things have happened because I took the time to set goals, visualize, and trust God will make them come true for me.

Sometimes, it felt like magic, a miracle, or at other times, a déjà vu! See my post about it on my other blog.

Like a movie in my mind, it would play over and over, complete with all the emotions. Never had I thought that I was molding my future with my present thoughts.

There was one time, however, that I allowed over-confidence to take over!

I made a plan and created deadlines and due dates for my dreams. I was designing my life like a pro! But, of course, it was an epic fail! The months and years came and passed, and nothing happened!

While reflecting, I made three realizations.

Realizations

First, visualizing does work. But, it is always in God’s perfect time. God holds the future in His hands. He got it all planned out!

Second, dreaming of the future is like planting seeds in our thoughts. Eventually, it will grow and bloom! Sometimes, depending on the roots, it will be in an instant. At other times, it takes a lot of time to develop. Time is God’s way of preparing our hearts for it.

Third, I can only believe it will happen, and then I should let go and trust! As soon as I plant those seeds of dreams in my thoughts and water them daily through visualization, I only need to trust.

All the people I meet, the situations I encounter, and all the challenges I conquer will lead me to that ultimate goal.

When I scheduled my dreams on my own terms, I was limiting God of His generosity and power. There isn’t one way but plenty of ways on how my dreams can come true. I just have to believe God fully.

How do we make our dreams come true?

First, Mirror Work. After waking up every morning and sleeping at night, look at yourself in the mirror and say “I love you! Something wonderful is about to happen today! My dreams will come true!”

Second, Remember.  Remember your dreams every day! Write it, sing it, draw it! Whatever that will help you remember! Do it even for 5 minutes daily!

Warning: Be specific with your dreams! Every day my friend would always say aloud “God, please give me a van – Dodge, color – green! After some time, it came true!

“Did you pray for an old van?” I asked.

We started laughing!

“Haha, I should have said, God, I like it brand new!”

Third, Believe. Let Go and Trust. Believe in the power of your dreams. Let go and trust! And while you trust God, then be mindful of how you live your daily life. If  you are constantly worried, are you sure you trust God?

Fourth, Be Grateful. A grateful heart attracts blessings and miracles!

Cheers to more dreams come true!
