The 100-Day Experiment: Can Thinking Rich Really Create Wealth?

Day 13: Making Space for Abundance—Letting Go to Receive More

Today, I found myself asking a different kind of question. I’ve been praying for abundance—for more wealth, more peace, more opportunities. But this thought hit me:

Where will all that abundance go… if my life is already too full?

Full of busyness. Full of worries. And Full of old habits and clutter—both in my home and in my mind.

I realized… maybe making space for abundance is part of the process.

If I’m holding on too tightly to what I already have—even the things that no longer serve me—how can I expect God to pour something new into my life?

Where would it even fit?

Letting Go Isn’t Always Easy

I’ll be honest—letting go isn’t my strong suit.

I like holding on. It feels safer somehow.

I hold on to things like:

  • Old papers and random stuff “just in case I need them.”
  • Routines that keep me busy but don’t actually move me forward.
  • Fears like, “What if I let go, and nothing better comes?”

But I’m starting to see that holding on too tightly can actually block the blessings I’m asking for.

I can say, “Lord, please bless me with more!”
But if my heart, my schedule, my mind, and even my home are all overflowing with clutter—how can I receive more?

Today made me realize that making space for abundance is an act of faith.

Letting go is me saying, “Okay, God, I trust You. I’m releasing this because I believe You’ll fill the space with something better.”

And it doesn’t always have to be a huge thing.

Sometimes, it’s as simple as:

  • Clearing out that drawer that’s been stressing me out.
  • Releasing the belief that money is hard to come by.
  • Letting go of the fear that if I spend, I won’t have enough.
  • Saying “no” to something that drains me, to make room for something that excites me.

Little by little, I’m seeing it: Making space for abundance is showing God I’m ready.

It’s me saying, “I believe You have more for me… and I’m making room for it.”

📌 Affirmation for Today: “I make space for abundance. I trust that God will fill my life with His blessings.”

📌 What I’m Taking Into Tomorrow: I’ll start small. I’ll notice the areas in my life—physical or emotional—that feel cluttered or heavy. And I’ll ask, What can I let go of today to make space for the abundance I’m praying for?

📌 Reflection:
Is there something I’m holding onto—physically, emotionally, or mentally—that’s keeping me from receiving more?
What’s one small thing I can release today?
