The 100-Day Experiment: Can Thinking Rich Really Create Wealth?

Day 6: Setting the GPS—Defining My Wealth Destination

Setting the GPS is key to making real progress toward wealth. It’s just like riding a car—you wouldn’t start driving without setting the GPS, right? You need to enter your final destination first. But before I can move from Point A to Point B, I need a reason why I want to move. It doesn’t make sense to just jump into a car and drive aimlessly—unless aimless driving was the goal!

So today, I go back to my what. What is it that I truly desire? What is the wealth I’m actually working toward? And most importantly, why do I want it?

If I don’t define my wealth destination, how will I know when I’ve arrived? That’s a valid question, right?

I’ve realized that before I can fully move toward wealth, I have to start from the basics—the foundation that will guide me to the finish line: setting the GPS! It’s not just about setting a goal to “be rich.” It’s about defining what wealth actually means to me. What does my dream life look like? What kind of freedom do I want? And What does success feel like? Without clarity, I could be moving in the wrong direction, mistaking busyness for progress.

If I skip this step and jump straight into action, I risk chasing things that don’t truly align with what I want. Why do I want to be wealthy? Is it for security, for impact, for personal growth, or something else? Without a strong why, any obstacles along the way might feel like reasons to quit rather than challenges to overcome. Having a clear what and why acts as my compass—it ensures that every step I take leads me toward something meaningful, not just movement for movement’s sake.

I’ll admit it—I’ve fallen for shiny objects more times than I can count. Over the years, I’ve spent money on things that promised big financial rewards—believing that if it worked for them, it would work for me too. I thought I could shortcut my way to wealth, only to realize that those opportunities didn’t truly align with my what and why. Worse, I sometimes expected money to flow in simply because I invested in a product or service—without taking the right actions to make it happen.

This is why having a strong foundation matters. The clearer my vision, the more intentional my actions will be. Instead of chasing money blindly, I can move forward with purpose, knowing that I’m building something that truly aligns with me.

📌 Abundance Affirmation to Help Me Shift:
“I am clear on my desires, and I move toward them with purpose and confidence.”

Now that I’ve asked what I want and why, the next step is exciting! Let’s see what unfolds next!
